Punjab Masstransit Authority cameras linked with Punjab Safe Cities Authority
At least 325 CCTV cameras of the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) were linked to the Punjab Safe City Authority ( PSCA ) ' s monitoring facility . The Chief Operating Officer of PSCA (COO) DIG Muhammad Kamran Khan and Managing Director (PMA) Mirza Naseer Inayat inaugurated the second phase of camera integration during a ceremony held at Punjab Safe Cities Authority headquarters Qurban Lines. Over 1,600 cameras of the PMA will be integrated with PSCA during the third phase. On this occasion, COO said that the integration of cameras will aid law enforcement agencies during their investigations and the milestone development will enhance public safety and security in the city. Khan further added that it is recognized as an international practice to integrate private cameras with the government's monitoring system for efficient surveillance. PMA MD ensured all possible support to integrate Rawalpindi and Multan transit cameras.
